Simple Chocolate Bread Recipe
This recipe is designed to treat yourself to a sweet treat on any given day, obviously it is not the typical bread with which you would make toast every day. It is not a particularly healthy recipe, because it contains ingredients that we should not abuse, so let’s take it on a whim.
By the way! These should not be confused homemade chocolate breads with milk buns and chocolate chips , so if what you are looking for is a recipe to make soft buns, I’ll leave it here .
First of all, let it be clear that this recipe is to prepare a bread that is crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside, with a sweet flavor, with chocolate chips and varnished in syrup . These buns are perfect to cut in half and have a chocolate sandwich (like when we were little 😋) or a toast vegan nutella . Come on, for a afternoon fat vegan total .
There is an extra to this recipe which is to add cocoa powder to it , to give it more chocolate flavor. If you want to add cocoa, mix it during the first steps with the flour, before adding liquid.

This recipe is a little more complex than what the recipes I bring are usually , but don’t panic. In this case it is quite important to have a good oven. As you know, I work with a fairly old oven and it makes it quite difficult. It will be much easier for you if you have a modern oven with a fan and the ability to properly moderate the temperature.
Before starting with the recipe I am going to give you a couple of tips that I gave you on Instagram Stories. The first is that you do not buy chocolate chips as such, but buy a bar of dark chocolate and cut it into pieces with the knife, because it is much cheaper that way.
The second is that the varnish with syrup is obviously optional, but I recommend it because it gives a shiny, golden and sweet result on the outside.

We weigh 400 grams of bread flour and reserve in a large bowl (in the photo you will see 300, but then I added 100 more).

On the other hand, we heat until the 3 tablespoons of margarine are melted. When it is melted, we add it to the flour and mix well.
