We beat the butter and icing sugar with electric beaters until we obtain a creamy dough. We add the egg and a teaspoon of vanilla essence. We beat for a few more minutes. We add the flour and baking powder through a strainer and mix with a tongue until integrated. You don’t have to knead.

We wrap the dough in plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes.
